I was so excited to find out that I was going to blessed with a baby girl that I was going to be adopting. Her mother homeless and handicapped, therefore completely unable to care for the baby. We got news on June 18th early in the morning that it was the day! Katie was making her way into this world! I was so excited as I packed my car and my baby bag, stuffed my daughter Adelynn in the car and we were off the pick up our newest addition to the family. Not too far into our trip I recieve a call from Katie’s mom. The worst call in whole world! Her mom crying hysticarically saying “holly! She didn’t make it! She didn’t make it!” My baby girl had not survived birth. My world stopped for a few moments. I had to catch up and take in the words I had just herd. I call my husband (as he is deployed) and tell him as best I could though a face full of tears and a throat full of jumbled words. It was awful! Well after all had happened, her mother calls and explains that she never got her insurance fixed and cannot afford funeral arraignments for the baby. No funeral home was willing to work with us we set out to try to get this baby cremated and home. Car washes and a Go Fund Me was set up. However, sadly they were not very successful. Finally a man who goes by “Lucky” as very well and fondly known to most as my tattoo artist! He asked if he could help by doing a raffle for Katie. I said of course, not realizing what he was willing to do for me! He decided that for every donation made to Katie’s Go Fund Me would be a raffle ticket for a free $500 dollar tattoo! He helped us raise enough money to fund the cremation of Katie. He also decided that after the raffle was over that everyone who donated would recieve a $10 gift card for his shop as well! He is such a sweet and generous man! I am so thankful for him and his kindness, I am so lucky to know such a great guy!
One large heart
