Birthday Tradition

I feel Emma and I must have been kindred spirits. Like her I have always enjoyed doing something thoughtful for someone else.

For many years I’ve enjoyed giving small gifts to others on my birthday. Not that long ago I received a gift from Emma. I immediately decided that I wanted to attach Emma’s card to my gifts this year.

I’ve been studying ceramics at a community college for over a year now. One thing important to a finished piece is a smooth rim. The best way to accomplish this is with a bit of Chamois leather. So I purchased some and have made over 50 strips. I’ve attached a photo of everything being assembled. I’m so excited about tomorrow!
