We decided to build this site and honor Emma’s memory in this way because she loved giving so much. This is the experience I had that sealed the deal.
About a week after Emma’s funeral I walked in to grab a quick lunch. I was in a hurry and between 2 softball games and all day tryouts for Rush’s baseball team that I am coaching. As soon as I walked in I saw this table full of US Soldiers. Clear as day I heard Emma’s voice in my head “Buy their lunch Dad” and I had the thought for a second, but it’s a whole table full. And then I heard Emma’s sarcasm “I mean unless you don’t love America”. I miss her sense of humor and smile, Emma loved-loved-LOVED doing things like that. It was so clear what we were going to do to honor Emma, hopefully you will help build her legacy and keep her memory alive. I am grateful for her spirit that lives inside my heart, I am grateful for all of you and I am grateful for those who serve our country that allow us the freedoms we enjoy.

What a wonderful family you have! You are amazing parents. I love that you dedicated this website to something that your daughter thought to be very important. I will be praying for all of you. I watched the video and cried throughout and felt as if I, too, knew Emma. It’s wonderful that in your grief you are continuing to honor your daughter and to help others.
