A friend of mine, Patty, reached out via facebook looking for tips on how to roadtrip from Texas to Utah for the first time, with four kids. Patty had a preemie in August and a husband who works as an anestheologist 60+ hours a week. She barely had time to pack her family’s clothes let alone any entertainment for her children. While at HEB one day I grabbed some items from the dollar area, printed and laminated some bingo cards and road maps and put them in some plastic file folder. I labeled each folder with the child’s initials in duct tape. (Because we all know duct tape fixes everything). I placed a #forouremma card in the eldest child’s folder in hopes that he would inquire his parents about it and it would allow for some good road trip discussion of how to pay forward the kindness. I am excited to see how it turned out upon their return from Utah
