I had just gotten off of work and picked my 7 year old daughter Kennedy up from school. I had promised her that if she got a good report from school that day, I would stop at Starbucks and get her a double chocolate chip frappe. She had just received an awesome progress report a few days prior. I picked her up and she again got a good report. We went through the Starbucks drive thru and ordered her drink. We drove up to the window and I went to hand the cashier my debit card when she stated that the man in front of me had paid for our order in honor of Emma. The cashier handed me the kind card. I took the card and told the cashier that I would also pay it forward in honor of Emma and pay for the man’s order behind me. I kept the card and pulled up this site to see who Emma was. She sounds like an amazing young lady and I am honored to be a part of this story. I will keep my card and use it again and pass it along to someone else that I pay it forward to in the near future and I hope they also share their story!

I was the one that paid for the man in front of you. I gave the barista a card for the man behind me, and shared Emma’s story with her and gave her a card, too. I love paying for people behind me at starbucks, I printed a sheet of cards off and will start giving them to the barista to share with the recipient of the free drink.
