My husband read a post on a local Facebook page from a 18 year old girl who asked if anyone had a Christmas tree they were not using. She wanted her 10 year old sister to have a tree. Immediately we decided that we would donate our tree because we would be out of town with family. We dropped the tree off to a very excited 10 year old and an appreciative sister. The mom and two girls were having to start over in a very tiny cottage. They didn’t have room for a stove. After getting home I knew I could do more, and I wanted to share Emma’s card. I called up friends and before I knew it we had gift cards, toaster oven, food, towels, ornaments, lights, and the list goes on. But when I walked in this one room adorable cottage and seen that tree, it looked more beautiful then it could have ever looked in my home. It gave them a home. It fit perfectly, meant to be, and they thanked us and I handed them Emma’s card and asked that they read her page. I told them this is what Emma was about, what she enjoyed, and they cried. So touching how things happen, and how one simple request of a tree can bring us together for a greater cause. Just like Emma. She is bringing kindness everywhere everyday. Bringing out the best in people and making us live Intentionally. I Hope we made this families life a little easier, brighter, and made Emma proud.
