Babysitting and Cinnabons :)

We have two stories today!! First, my hubby is out of town and I had to make a 4 hour round trip, plus time there, with my two oldest which meant I had to find someone to watch my 3 littles from 6:15am until noon. My amazing friend got up that early, fed them breakfast and lunch, and let them do a treasure hunt at her house. She is a saint!

Our second story my oldest daughter thought was hysterical…mostly because she got to hear the conversation with the teenage boy.
We were going through the drive thru at Schlotzskys Deli and this conversation happened.
(There was no one behind us while I was paying but someone pulled up right about the time we were about to drive off)

Me: Would it be okay if I paid for the car behind me.

Teenager: You want to what?

Me: I would like to pay for the car behind me

Teenager: Why?

Me: We are doing random acts of kindness

Teenager: Do you know them?

Me: No

Teenager: Umm, it’s (and he tells me how much their bill is) are you sure you want to pay for them?

Me: Yes (explain about Emma and the cards while figuring that the people behind me are getting annoyed at how long this is taking)

Teenager: (Takes my debit card back) So….do you want to sign for it or should I let them sign for it?

This is when the manager, who had been listening, came over.

Manager: No! She doesn’t want the people behind her to see her account information! Let her sign!

He then grabs a box of 6 large cinnabons and hands them to me.

Me: That’s okay! I didn’t need these! We aren’t doing this to get anything!

Manager: No, what your doing is amazing. This is my kindness to you today. He took a few more Emma cards and told my kids how impressed he was with them.

Hopefully the people behind me forgave how long it took once they got to the window!!

This is a awesome site and I will be sharing it with family and friends.Your daughter is a Angel and continues living through the acts of kindness that she started. My grandfather always called me Angel and I guess I believe that I am one of God’s Angels in my body.Being kind to one another costs nothing and shouldn’t be hard for anyone who believes in treating others as they would like to be treated. At the end of the Ellen show she always says “Be Kind To One Another”.Thank you for sharing your daughter’s life and memory with others and myself.God Bless all of you.

I don’t have words to thanks how much you and your daughter have made me believe in the human being again. In the middle of all this mass shootings, desolation, poverty and sadness, we can still see sparkling lights of beauty and generosity. Thanks so much for being there. Love, Diana
